Reasoning

Pixel art can be beautiful and nicely complement websites heavy on text. I wanted to break down the process for the day I might need some, without having to hire an illustrator to help me out. AI is a quick and interesting way to generate my imagination, but also needed to understand the design basics of 8- and 16-bit to put my manual touch on it. Finally I also wanted to be able to animate it and be able to generate sprite sheets for example for game development.
